Standard Features

Hiniker seedcarts individually and gently meter the seed to each row, unlike air units that use a single meter which then shoots the seed through splitters and towers. Both the 4850 and the 4824 seedcarts feature the Zero Max seeding rate transmission. By simply adjusting a dial on the transmission, the correct seeding rate is selected on the linear scale. The seed metering system is ground driven allowing for uniform seed rates regardless of ground speed. The 4850 model features two clutches permitting half of the machine to be turned off. Two easily accessible slide gates permit complete hopper cleanout without any scooping.

Optional Features

Fill augers are available for both seedcart models. The auger may be used to both fill and empty the seed hopper when changing seed varieties. Soil deflectors deflect soil from the opening disc back into the closing disc ensuring seed coverage. Row markers are available for the front folding 4850 seeder. These rugged markers attach to welded on toolbar mountings and feature breakaway protection when post or tree obstructions are encountered.

When no-till conditions demand, concrete ballest blocks and suitcase weight brackets ensure proper penetration of row units. Mechanical Drive Wheel Lift automactically disengages seed flow when toolbar is raised, both when turning on end rows and when in transport. Seed Hopper Agitator may be required if innoculant or other seed additives cause seed to bridge.
